The Miracle of Life

Have you ever thought about life? Its interesting, especially when you think about other people's perspectives on life.

What is your perspective on life?

Have you ever really thought about it? or are you just surviving?

I have a dear friend by the name of Kathy. This woman lived an amazing life. In 5 days she is going to be turning 80 years old, if she lives that long. Kathy has been in the hospital for 15 days now, surviving on medication and very little water. She has been very sick for quite a few years now, and it has (obviously) grown increasingly worse over the past 2 and a half weeks. Kathy is surviving for the moment.

SURVIVING. Do you survive? I sure as heck don't want to just survive. I want to live.

Kathy also lived. She lived an AMAZING life. There are very few women that I can look at and say "You are an honorable woman, and have lived a worthy life."

Kathy is one of those women. She was (and still is) a strong woman of God.

She had 6 kids, 5 of whom have already passed to live with God. And Kathy still fights on.
She had to move away from her children so she could find work. Even though it was hard for her, Kathy had faith and fought on.
Kathy would walk to church every Sunday, all the way from Willow to Bogard rd. in Wasilla. She is strong.
Kathy insisted on attending church every opportunity she had. She is faithful.
At 79 years old, with degrading heath, she offered to come work on a farm completely free of charge. She desires to serve others.

I don't think life is all about surviving. I think we are suppose to live, to grow, to make bonds with one another. What is the point in just surviving?

SO LAUGH! And SMILE! Be joyful and rejoice! Your time is short! Live while you have the chance. Make yourself a better person. Fight through the trials and look towards the light. Your reward in heaven will fully compensate for the trails you endure in life. Smile through the pain, it will all be worth it. Live a life you are proud of.
