Next on our list of stores was Old Navy. We figured that we would at least find something there. We had a little bit of bad luck on our way to Old Navy though. On the highway my mom's cell wasn't working properly. We got that out of our way and moved on. As we turned into the parking lot we heard a popping kind of noise. We step our of the car to the sound of air leaving a tire.
The air left that bad boy fairly quickly, I was surprised. The tire was completely flat by the time that we got out of :
Mom started to get the jack and tire out to change the tire. A nice man dressed in army attire approached us asking if he could help. It was really nice of him to help us change that tire.
Sorry that I got some of Kenny's head in there. This is the man in the process of changing the tire.
Next we visited Value Village to no avail. I found like 6 dresses the I really liked . . . but I am a little large in certain areas that the dresses didn't like.
We were hungry by this time so we decided to visit my uncle's restaurant. After lunch we ran down to Burlington to see if they had anything. There were a lot of dresses that were really cute. We learned something at Burlington . . . low cut equals bad. I was getting really frustrated by this point. Was I ever going to find a dress that met my standards?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
My mom said that our next and final stop would be to JCPenny's to see if there was ANYTHING that would work. We found nothing. I was in tears when my aunt Rissa showed up. She has a serious sense of style so I knew that she would find me something cute, inexpensive, fit my style, fit me, and was modest. We went over to Wet Seal to see if there was anything. We found two dresses the would be really cute. My mom said no, that they were to "big kiddish" so that was a no. Riss a took me over to Urban Vibe to see if there was anything there.
We all had high tempers and it felt good to be able to relax with Rissa and know that she knew what she was doing. It was really nice. We found two dresses that were really cute and we found a tank top and an over jacket to go with them. I tried them on and found that both the pink and the blue were really cute on me. They fit and were really really really really really really really really really really really comfortable. My mom walked in and was really iffy about the blue one. So I put the pink one back on to see if she liked it better. She called it hideous.
After changing from blue, to red, to blue again I convinced my mom that I really did like the dress and that I would really wear it again after today. She agreed.
And now after all of this pain you can see the dress that I decided on:
